Authentication Types - Internal

Use this subform to configure the Internal authentication type.

Form Fields

  • Protocol: The protocol that the authentication type instance uses.

  • Name: The name of the authentication type instance. For other authentication types, which support multiple instances, this is used to differentiate between instances.

  • Status: The status of the authentication type instance. You cannot disable the internal authentication type instance.

  • Minimum Length: The minimum required length of a user's password.

  • Required Lowercase: The number of lower case letters required in a user's password.

  • Required Uppercase: The number of upper case letters required in a user's password.

  • Required Numbers: The number of numbers required a user's the password.

  • Required Special Characters: The number of special characters required in a user's password.

  • Reset Available: Whether a password reset option appears on login screen.

  • Reset Custom Text: The password reset text that appears on login screen.

  • Reset Questions: Questions (one per line) that users can answer to reset their password.
